A GREAT episode of This American Life about Harold Washington – Chicago’s first Black mayor, who was also a first NON-Daley Machine mayor. So, in this piece you get some description of the Daley Machine, and descriptions of the fight against it. We will see if we have time to listen to some of this in class. So good.
